Chicago Sprints
LPBC Location:
Lincoln Park Boat Clubs’ boathouse is located on the Lincoln Park Lagoon, within the Lincoln Park Zoo
The formal address is 2341 N. Cannon Drive, Chicago, IL 60614
This is near Fullerton Avenue and Lake Shore Drive
If you are coming from south of Chicago, exit at Division, Fullerton or North Avenue
If you are coming from north of Chicago, exit at Fullerton
Parking for Spectators:
Due to the number of events occurring within Chicago on this weekend parking around Lincoln Park Zoo will be in high demand; the Lincoln Park Zoo’s lot will likely fill up early both days and street parking around the lagoon will be hard to find; please plan accordingly
Paid parking is run through the Lincoln Park Zoo, with the parking lot entrance located at Fullerton Parkway and Cannon Drive (2400 N. Cannon Drive, Chicago, IL 60614)
Parking fees are collected at the lot exit
Parking rates at the zoo:
0–30 minutes: Free
30 minutes–2 hours: $20
2–4 hours: $24
4–5 hours: $30
5 hours or more: $35
Metered city street parking is available throughout the area as well, and there are several parking garages within an easy walk of the park
Parking stress can be avoided by taking the L down and making the 10-15 minute walk from Fullerton, or by biking, and you avoid the 30-minute line in traffic to get out at the end of the day
Pre-Regatta Preparation:
Fill out the Chicago Sprints Commitment Survey. (Link coming soon.)
Make sure to rsvp for the event “CHICAGO SPRINTS” on iCrew so that you will receive the messages that are sent out via the live event. If you don't rsvp you won't get the updates and messages! (Even if you are not competing, but are coming to watch, rsvp so that you can stay in the loop.)
Details for the Social coming soon!
When you rsvp, please be sure to select some items from the “Assignment” list for the team to use and consume during the regatta.
You must be at your normal practice time to de-rig boats and load the trailer; extra hands are always welcome. We will be de-rigging and loading on Wednesday.
