HOW TO FILL OUT YOUR iCrew PROFILE
There are two parts to your new iCrew profile. Be sure all relevant information is filled out in both sections. The first section is “Update My Profile”. You can access the second section by clicking “show” next to the ROWER PROFILE INFO.
SOME TIPS:
Please contact us if you want to join our club - we can send you a registration link and our registration code.
If you already have an iCrew profile, for example you participated in WIT-or LTR, you do not need to create another account. You can go directly to registering for your program. To have access to all of the communication features of iCREW you must include your cell number and phone carrier in your profile. Then select “Receive discussion alerts as text message?” to ensure that you are able to send and receive all team communication.
Your “Tile Name” is the name used by the coaches on the Line-ups screen. It is usually your first name and last initial but can also be your preferred nickname.
You should provide your birthdate, height, or weight to CRU. If you wish to participate in competitions (regattas) USRowing will require this information before you can participate. .It is also helpful to the coaches for lineup preparation.
You also do not need to provide gender, however as a club that prides itself on inclusivity, it is helpful to designate that so your teammates know your preference.
One comment about gender: we tested out the input box and it looks like you can enter either a pronoun or a gender. From the admin side of things what we see is the first letter (Female = F, Male = M, They/Them = T, She = S, and He = H, etc) so if you will be sharing that information go ahead and choose what you feel most comfortable with.
If you plan to race
USRowing will collect:
gender information. You are, unfortunately, limited to either male or female but you should feel comfortable selecting your preferred gender. At the level we compete it does not have to match your ID and no one will ask for proof at the starting line.
birthdate. Masters races include an age handicap and that is calculated using age categories.
