Spring 2021 Rules

There may also be additional CRU rules that members will be expected to know about and follow.

Members are responsible for checking and adhering to all rules prior to arriving at DRC for practice!

This is a tentative schedule. After a few weeks of settling in, there may be an opportunity to expand the number of rowers on site.

Outside:

  1. Limited group of 40 rowers plus coaches.

  2. Be at least 50 feet away from any other group on site. New Trier has been assigned to use the section in Yellow as their designated space. (See Picture) If CRU is at DRC at the same time as another club we must stage ourselves away from the other club.

  3. Everyone must wear a mask when on the property. It is encouraged that everyone wears a mask while out on the water.

  4. Rowers must park in Sam’s Club lot and access facility from that direction. Coaches may park in the parking lot.

  5. Please take accurate attendance for each practice. You may be asked for an attendance sheet for contact tracing purposes.

  6. You may not be on the dock, ramp, or stairs until the dock is completely empty.

  7. Please follow the established flow for accessing the dock:

    • The stairs are to be used one way, down to the dock.

    • Have rowers return to the top by using the boat ramp.

  8. Please be mindful of other groups and be prepared to get on and off the dock quickly.

Inside:

  1. Everyone must wear a mask while inside the building.

  2. Only one key holder may enter the building and open the garage door.

  3. Limit the number of rowers in the garage bay.

  4. Rowers must use the shelter bathrooms.

  5. All teams should always encourage their rowers to have a personal bottle of sanitizer with them.

  6. All rowers are encouraged to carry their own oar to and from the dock.

  7. Teams should wipe down oars and riggers before and after each use.

  8. Please leave personal belongings in a secured vehicle or have a team member watch over bags, etc. while others are out on the water. Please do not bring personal items inside the facility.

  9. The tank room is limited to eight rowers and one coach.

  10. The erg room is limited to 12 rowers and one coach.
